Moray Eel
Sea Hag

A ZBrush Character Design Project, 2020

The Moray Eel Sea Hag was a character I created in ZBrush as my final project in Nicholas Zuccarello's Digital Sculpting class.  The character was created in ZBrush over the course of a few weeks.  I used reference images of real moray eels to derive the appearance and visual personality of the character, and then translated it into a digitally sculpted humanoid character.

Engraved Stone Pillar

A ZBrush Environment Design Project, 2020

I created this small scene while I was in Nicholas Zuccarello's digital sculpting class, as part of our project focusing on rendering stonework.  The main feature of the scene is a weathered, engraved stone pillar, surrounded by various scraggly plants.

Retro Raygun

A ZBrush Prop Design Project, 2020

I created this metallic, retro-futuristic ray gun while I was in Nicholas Zuccarello's digital sculpting class, as part of a project that introduced advanced sculpting techniques, materials, and, at the end, some rendering tricks in photoshop.  It consists of a sculpt of a large, detailed, science fiction ray gun, with lots of intricately sculpted little details, and a few renders in photoshop with colored lighting.

Monster Wilds 3D Assets

A compilation of game-ready 3D art assets, 2021

Monster Wilds was my capstone project for my Game Design degree at UCF.  I was an environmental and prop modeler on the team, and I worked to create a suite of assets to decorate our various environments.  This selection of objects were made mainly in Maya, though some of them were made in ZBrush and converted in Maya.

A pair of mushroom clusters used to decorate the cave environments of the game, and, in the full version, to shed a bit of light (I just made the models).

Giant Pitcher Plant

A giant pitcher plant used to decorate some areas of the game, meant to be hung from tree branches and rock outcroppings, to add in more verticality.

Hanging plant pods made to decorate the cave environments.  These plants are meant to serve as a light source, and are visually reminiscent of organic paper lanterns.

Gourd Cluster

A cluster of gourd-like plants meant to decorate the forested areas of the game.  These are meant to be visually similar enough that they're recognizable as gourds, but just different enough that they fit the more fantastical environment.

These two assets come as a matching pair, and were made for my final project in a 3D modeling class back in 2019.  It's a scythe and goblet bedecked in matching occult imagery.  These are some of my only portfolio worthy assets that I've textured.
